Leave A Message For Huddy

I know as soon as I just get things started... I go on vacation. Well, as this is not my job, it will be nice to get away from everything else I do on a daily basis.

I am traveling to Europe, and have no idea how much internet I will have access to, but I will give it my best shot to stay in the game.

So for now, this is the #1 Juliet Huddy fan saying... please leave a message at the beep...

I shall return!!

Huddy Interview, Part 1

There is this charming little Yahoo! fan site called, interestingly enough, Juliet_Huddy.

I happend to see recently that our own Juliet Huddy reportedly is answering questions submitted by fans like us.

If I may be so bold, here is a part of the interview:

Do you play golf or any other sports on a regular basis?

[Huddy, Juliet] I love basketball, although not actually 'playing' the game; just free-throw shooting. For some weird reason, I'm really good at skill-type sports, although I'm pretty lousy when I have to actually do the cardio portions. i.e. I hate running! I also like going to the driving range, though I've never actually played a round of golf in my life. Does miniature golf count? I KILL on that! So in other words, I'm not playing sports on a frequent basis, although I do like puttering around here and there.

Most embarrassing moment on camera?

[Huddy, Juliet] Where do I begin? This is just a horrible, horrible story but you asked... I was covering some pretty grisly news; a beheading. During an interview with someone involved with the story, I said "heads are really going to roll" -- I was talking about how certain officials were going to get in a lot of trouble... it was just AWFUL. The second I said it, I tried to figure out a way to roll back time. Even now, I shudder when I think about it. And trust me, it was NOT lost on our viewers.

Ever have a Freudian slip on camera?

[Huddy, Juliet] Have you ever seen our show?!?! Mike and I have slips every two minutes.

How is that new morning show on big Fox coming along?

[Huddy, Juliet] I'd love to divulge the info but I have to keep my trap shut on this one. Mike and I are really, really excited, I can tell you that.

Was the plunge into the pool courtesy of Mike and Julian (that
happened a year ago) planned?

[Huddy, Juliet] We had a kiddie pool outside the Fox and Friends Weekend studio. As I recall, there were dogs running around, people were crowding the sidewalk and next thing you know Mike is pushing me into the pool. We never, ever stage anything. But Mike certainly does know that I'm not going to freak out over a little bit of water. Ok, a LOTTA bit of water. Honestly, anything to make the show a little different, I'm cool with.
More to come on this... but it does indeed sound like our gal, so I am going with it.
My question is, what do I have to do to get this access?

Time will tell, I suppose. Until then, I will stick with this:

Huddy Defended In Blogosphere

Per my last Technorati search, I would like to publically thank 'GOP and College' for defending Juliet from the onslaught of humorist and commentator Bill Maher. Now, I am not implying that Huddy is a Republican, but anytime someone defends her honor, I am forced to recognize that effort. For the video in question, see Hot Air.

For that, I would like thank "College"... you know, for the effort.

(Also, as you can tell from my site, there are plenty of better pictures you could have used.)

Huddy Demands Her Due

Now don't get me wrong, the site Kaptured has a ton of great pictures, but if I were to have one beef with them, it would be that Huddy has only won the "Cap of the Month" once!!

Although, clearly I am a little biased.

Judge for yourself.

Here is the picture that won it for Huddy:

From July of 2005.

Huddy Would Never

The story of CNN's Kyra Phillips getting caught taking her "live" mic into the bathroom during President Bush's speech is getting alot of well deserved coverage.

Here, Inside Cable News, Media Line, and Media Bistro & Wonkette (both with video) are coving the story - Kurtz even mentions it.

Why do I mention this kind of junior league journalism?
Because Huddy is better, and would not allow this kind of thing to happen.
She is a pro, and that is the bottm line.

That's our gal.

Huddy on Poker

Now I am not a poker kind of guy (I know, har har) - I was always a much bigger fan of Blackjack.

That said, on Dayside, they just had on Annie Duke, female poker star (and brother to more famous poker player, Howard Lederer) who was giving tips on how to play the game.

What little I do know about poker, (thanks ESPN) I do know that 3 of a kind is a hand worth keeping.

Thus, I give you, Juliet Huddy:

Huddy's Alma Mater

At this point, I would like to call attention to the institution that produced Fox News talent Juliet Huddy - the University of Missouri.

And while the Tigers are rebounding from a 6-5 season, with devoted fan Huddy pulling for them, that will surely rise up in the Big 12 North.

Although, USA Today is not very optimisitc: "To say Missouri football is average is a fair assessment."

The real question in my mind, is if she ever tried out to be a cheerleader??

Tell me she wouldn't look great at the top of a pyramaid!

Huddy Shout-Out

As I have no formal connection to network or cable news (duh), I rely on my fellow bloggers and news anchor fan sites to aid in my quest for all things Huddy.

At this point, I would like to give a huge shout out to the great folks behind Kaptured, the genius behind this Epson shared album and TV Heads.

Thanks to everyone for their help, as I try to get this Huddy fan blog off the ground.

Without you, this dream would not be a reality - Now back to the news.

Watch Huddy For Centanni & Wiig Coverage

As most of you know, Fox News reporters Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig were released over the weekend, to the relief of many people (The Cable Game).

Today is a great day to watch FNC - you can tell how much more of a stake they had in this story - and Dayside should be a great one too.

These guys do a job that very few appreciate or recognize.
It is great to have them back.
