Juliet Huddy Press Hits

I read this article in the New York Daily News this morning, in reference to the Morning Show...
Richard Huff writes:
"Starting Monday, though, viewers will start seeing a little more - wait, make that a lot more - of Huddy's personality as she and Jerrick host 'The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet,' a program that takes them way out of the hard-news world and smack into 'Live With Regis & Kelly' territory."

Other recent press hits:

Cleveland Plain Dealer
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Denver Post

Get ready for much more from this pair...

Huddy's First Guests

I read at US Magazine online that a few of the morning show's first few guests have been leaked.
"Fox News Channel hounds Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy toss their names - and quippy banter - into the live talk-show ring. Their inaugural week guests? Paula Abdul, Carmen Electra and Janice Dickinson. "
Sounds like a pretty good start to me.

Let's see... Paula Abdul, AKA, the boozehound American Idol Judge (see YouTube).

Then there is Carmen Electra (late of all the Taco Bell commercials, among many, many others).

Then on to Janice Dickinson, the world's first supermodel.

Not too shabby at all.

Juliet Huddy in Three Days!

I kind of feel like I have been waiting for Juliet Huddy to come back to TV for a long, long time.
That said, in just three days time, she will be live and in living color - Monday at 9am on Fox.

It should be awesome.

Juliet Huddy Loves Animals

I would be remiss if I did not mention anther part of the Fishbowl LA interview talking about pets. Please read on:
Stories About Cute Dogs: "I have a chihuahua who is the cutest dog on the face of the Earth," Huddy says. "His name is Gomez."

"This dog," Jerrick adds, "is 50 percent testicle." [...]

"I think this little Gomez dog could be the mascot of our show," Jerrick says. "I don't have any animals."

"He has a large cobra," Huddy giggles.

There are a couple of points here that I am not sure how to comment on... Testicles.... Cobra...

I'll leave it to you...

Juliet Huddy in Fishbowl

I was just reading a post on Fishbowl LA talking about an interview that Huddy and Jerrick did with the blog.

One part of the Q & A is as follows:
And both tell FBLA that they have a strong affinity for this fair (OK, these days, freezing) land of ours. But you can't trust the media. So we put these talking heads to the test, asking them to riff -- morning show style -- on the stories that matter most to Angelenos. Here's what they said:

Lindsay Lohan: "I would make this take as a father as two young ladies in their 20s, and I would be rooting for her. She's got a wild family," Jerrick says.

Huddy chimes in: "The mom, from everything I've heard, there doesn't seem to be anything reigning the girl in. How is she supposed to turn out when she has mom and dad encouraging chaos?"

Jerrick: "Right.

Huddy: "When Britney Spears had a picture taken of her, holding her baby in the front seat, Mike and I were on air, dissing her. Her father called our control room, distraught. And it brought me down to reality. This is a human being. It was a wake-up call. She's a kid.

Jerrick: "A lot television has turned young people's lives into a sport. I hope she comes out of it well."
More wisdom and insight to come from this power duo. It should be great to watch.

She is going to be a modern-day Dear Abby meets Angelina Jolie.
Or something like that...

Juliet Huddy Old School

Before I let this one slip away, I will mention the video on Johnny Dollar's Place in which there is actual footage of Juliet Huddy in high school (8th grade to be exact) - with a 'special look.'

Please take a peak: J$P.

It should prove to be a interesting comparison to how she looks next week.

Juliet Huddy Potential Viewers

From a response on ICN to the entry entitled: Here comes The Morning Show…
"As a disclaimer, I’d watch a show that featured Juliet Huddy watching paint dry, but I do think she and Jerrick will work well in this new spot. And part of the draw for me was the humor and lightheartedness — it’s early and I’m already having to work."
Wow - I would agree in spades. That said, not all comments are as positive:
"Since FNC is a news channel I think having a show like M&J were doing was a mistake. Being the new show is more of a non news talk show there goofiness may be more tolerated."
I do understand the point here. Some people want their news networks to be just hard news.
I personally liked Huddy on F&F, and then Dayside... and I think this will be another vehicle for her talents.
That said, if this medium on network TV brings in more people, than I am all for it!

New Juliet Huddy Blog Readers?

I am sorry to say that as hard it is to believe, some of my fellow bloggers have not been reading my posts to find out what Juliet Huddy has been up to.

I am all about planting seeds and forming relationships, so I am glad to have picked up on the RO blog that posts the following under the title - Juliet Huddy of Fox News:
"Juliet Huddy of Fox News is another gorgeous news babe. What has happened to Juliet Huddy, is that she and co-star Mike Jerrick are going to start a new show, Jan. 22, 2007.

Here are some 'fun' facts about Juliet Huddy:

She likes guys with hairy chests (that takes me out of the picture:))
Juliet Huddy likes karaoke….who doesn’t?
Juliet has been Divorced (twice)

and the most depressing part, apparently Juliet Huddy likes to listen to Howard Stern.

We wish her and Mike Jerrick good luck in their new show."

Glad to see "theoperative" is finally finding out the scoop on my favorite news lady.

Juliet Huddy Coutdown Continues

Thanks to Spud over at Inside Cable News, and we we inch closer to the premiere of the Morning show with Mike and Juliet, I am happy to report the following from TV Week:
"Now Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television are betting the television hosts' chemistry will break a jinx that has stymied Fox's efforts to develop a lasting national morning show. 'The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet,' which starts Jan. 22 on 24 Fox-owned stations, represents the company's latest attempt to create competition for ABC's, CBS's and NBC's wake-up programs. [...]

'The reception from the marketplace has been very, very good,' Twentieth Television President and COO Bob Cook said. 'The Morning Show' will be topical, but it will not have the news-heavy character of the first half-hour of "Today," Mr. Mazzarelli, Ms. Huddy and Mr. Jerrick said. Instead it will focus on the staples of the rest of 'Today' and of many other daytime shows: celebrities, lifestyle and health."

I think this show is going to be dynamite!

What do YOU think?

Also the hit from TV Newser.

Say, Juliet, how long do you think you will last on network TV?

I think that about says it....
